Go to File Explorer, and go to "This PC". Look for your default hard drive, which by default is (C:), and from there you can check your total space, and how much you have used.

Is there an application for Windows to check how much space a folder is taking?

You can do that by right clicking the folder or file you want to check the space of and then clicking on Properties. After you do that, Windows will start calculating the space occupied by the folder/file. It may take some time if the file is large.

I have a "C", "D", "E", and "F" drive on my hard disk, do I add all 4 of them to give me Total HDD size?

Probably. You'd add all 4 of them then divide by how many drives you have on your computer. But since the C drive is more likely the mandatory drive in your computer, you'd just follow these methods.

I had 750 GB on my hard drive, partitions C (150 GB) E (500 GB) and F (100 GB) appx. After I merge all three, why can I only see the C drive with 150 GB?
