In 2007 and 2008, Steve taught the Local Sustainable Agriculture Field Practicum at Stanford University.Raised beds are easier to manage since you can more easily control the soil and nutrients inside the container. You also never have to walk on the soil. As a precaution, make sure you have room to access the bed on all sides.
