    Expert Answer
This is pretty common when you're reading something with a more elaborate or difficult vocabulary. I'd encourage you to look up any words you don't know while you're reading, which is something a lot of people don't do. If it's just kind of complicated book, take notes!
  • Question
How do I get my passion for reading back?
    Community Answer
Try finding books on subjects that interest you. Once you find a book you enjoy, it will be easier to find more and to want to read more.
  • Question
What if the book is one I'm forced to read?

Just take a deep breath and do some research on the book. Try reading a few chapters at a time.
  • Question
How do I make other people enjoy reading?
    Oseremen Mike-Aigbe
    Community Answer
Most people who don't enjoy reading haven't found the right book yet. Show the person (or people) a book that coincides with any of their interests. If they are the kind who think they are allergic to the sight of books, show them the graphic novel version of a movie they like (many popular movies are based on books). Or if all else fails, introduce them to Wattpad.
  • Question
I want to read books but I can't because of some kind of distraction. So I actually want to know how I can overcome to this problem?
    Eva Du
    Community Answer
Find out what is distracting you and avoid it. For example, stop any multitasking. If your distraction is your laptop and social media etc, put them away and block as much as possible. If your home is noisy, go to the library. If the library is too distracting, ask for a quiet room. If you are easily distracted by electronics, ask a family member to hold them for a set amount of hours.
  • Question
I've wanted to read this series of books for ages, and when I got them, I'm too eager to finish the first to move on to the next. I want to enjoy but I keep counting the pages left.
    Community Answer
You are likely eager to know what is going to happen. This requires tempering your curiosity and developing a deeper interest in how to story unfolds rather than how it ends. This is a learning process, learning to have patience and to enjoy the journey of reading, not just the end of it all. Always remember, in order to move on to the next book in a series, knowing what happens in the previous book is important and very often, it's the little details you might miss if you skipped them, that matter most.
