The operating system is irrelevant. Google your PC manufacturer or motherboard to find out what key to press on your keyboard. Once you know it, reboot your PC and press the key to enter the BIOS as soon as your PC powers on and the logo of your manufacturer shows.

I've already tried the keys F2, F1, F10, F11, Esc and Delete, but I still can't access the BIOS setting. How do I access it?

You need to make sure the computers is on beforehand. The power needs to be on for the computer to boot. Then you should try pressing those buttons. Or, you could try and access it through the Windows interface.

If by BIOS number you mean the button you should press, try pressing it on the PCs boot. this will allow you to enter your BIOS. Otherwise, this knowledge is useless and a BIOS number has no purpose.

What is the process to upgrade my computer when in the BIOS?

If you are talking about updating your OS, you either need to use a USB to boot off and then re-install using the most recent OS, or if using Windows you should be able to go into the update section in their interface. Your BIOS wont help you update you your computer.

You will have to enter your Lenovo bios password. If you did not create the password or are not the owner of the PC, ask the owner (whoever made the bios password) for the password, as it is the only thing that can access the bios.

How to do I exit the BIOS after making my changes? Is there a way I could do this that would cause issues to my system?

Most BIOS set up panels have two radio buttons somewhere at the bottom of the screen page that reads off - "Save" & "Exit." Any system changes you might make you need to save the file and then click on the exit button. You need to be careful based around the BIOS set-up. Any changes you make will be the new value at the next boot/post. Your computer might not even start or boot up due to those value changes, especially around the selections of the drives.

When I try to access the BIOS, I get a message that says 'Choose boot device', and then the PC continues to boot as normal. How can I access the BIOS?

Most motherboards have a shortcut key that opens the boot device menu (where you can select which drive the motherboard looks to boot the computer from). It's possible that you're hitting this key, instead of the BIOS key. Try other common BIOS keys such as Delete, F11 and Escape. Otherwise, you should see a splash screen with the logo of your motherboard's manufacturer as the computer boots, and in the lower corner the keys to launch the BIOS are often listed, so you don't have to guess.
