    Expert Answer
If it will be used as a phone, the best place to get a used phone is eBay. The price is going to be lower than what you will pay generally and, also, it is going to be less than what you're going to pay if you were to buy the same phone used from any of the manufacturers. You will have to talk with the seller by message and ask him any questions that you have and he will have to give you a satisfactory response for you to proceed in buying that phone. Also, the best thing that you can do is to ask for additional pictures of the areas where the phone is generally going to have damage.
  • Question
How can I be sure that I will receive an item that I purchase?
    Donagan
    Top Answerer
You can't, but you do have recourse (in the form of negative buyer feedback) if the item never arrives. Most sellers want to avoid negative feedback at all costs.
  • Question
Why would a seller have lower prices on eBay?
    Community Answer
eBay is highly competitive for low prices. For a seller to make money and be competitive on eBay, they will need to sell at lower prices.
  • Question
Is it safe to buy suits off of eBay?
    Vieno
    Community Answer
If you're talking about men's clothing, eBay can be an awesome place to get great deals on clothing. It can also be a terrible place to get ripped off on clothing. If you follow the basics outlined in this article, you're likely to have a good experience. Only buy from sellers who have significant experience as a seller. (An eBay user can have 100% positive feedback, but all of that could be as a buyer, in which case you have no idea if he or she is a good seller). Read the item description thoroughly. Compare the flat measurements to your own clothing that fits you well; never rely on a label size. Buy brands you're familiar with and know their quality and fit.
  • Question
How can I tell if a seller is legit on eBay?
    Community Answer
Contact the seller and test them out, also, check the reviews about what other people think. If they have a lot of negative reviews then that is a red card.
  • Question
Do I purchase eBay gift cards to buy things on eBay?
    Community Answer
You can buy gift cards if you want to gift them to other people, but if you want to buy things for yourself, then no, you can use a credit card or PayPal for your purchases.
  • Question
What recourse is there if I buy a luxury item on eBay and it's a fake listing?
    Community Answer
If you pay via Paypal you have recourse to lodge for refund if the item is not as described. Contact eBay directly and explain what has happened and they'll provide you with details on what to do to get the transaction reversed.
  • Question
How likely is it that someone is a scammer on Ebay if they have positive reviews?
    Community Answer
This depends on the number of reviews, the higher amount of reviews the higher track record accuracy of the account’s true nature. Remember the importance separating the buyer from seller reviews, as buyers reviews are almost always 100% easy while sellers are graded at much higher standards. Check how many prior sales the seller has sold, how long the account has been active, check what they sold, read the reviews, check levels of activity using eBay, and ask a question and evaluate the response time, grammatically correct, and best to have limits on buys or sales. For example, a Top Rated Power Seller with 213 reviews, of which only 8 are as a buyer, scoring 99.5%, that’s a legitimate track record.
  • Question
If a seller on eBay says she a member of the buyer's protection plan, how do I verify her membership?
    Community Answer
Every seller is a "member", and every buyer is protected. This is an eBay policy and covers almost all transactions on the site.
  • Question
What do I do if I buy something on eBay that doesn't work when it arrives?
    Community Answer
Double check the listing and make sure that the condition was not listed as "not working. for parts/repair". If it was sold as damaged, then there is little you can do except ask the seller to accept a return, which you will possibly have to pay return shipping. If the item was listed as new or used and was listed as working, then you can open an item not as described return. The seller will be responsible for providing you with a return shipping label. Once item is back in sellers possession, they will have 2 days to give you a refund. If they fail to give you a refund, call eBay and they will step in and give you your money back.
  • Question
What do I do if a seller on eBay gets mean during communications?
    Community Answer
It depends. If you really want the product and you are sure that it is real or legitimate, then buy the item. If not, then don't. It also depends on what the person is getting mad about. If the person is getting mad about you thinking the product is fake or asking if it's fake, then it's probably fake. If they are getting mad because you want to change the price, then stop trying to change the price and move on.
