Are there older versions of Microsoft Office available for free? I have a full license for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 on a CD but I am not able to transfer it to my new computer :(

Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't officially offer older versions of Office for free. In some cases, you may be able to download earlier versions that you own by logging into your Microsoft account and browsing your past purchases. However, this will only work if you purchased the older copy of Office through your current Microsoft account.

You could install Works 2003, but they might not open the documents correctly, especially if they are new. Yes, to an extent. They are supporting standalone versions of Office for 5 years. So Office 2021, which is currently the latest version, will be supported until 2026. The program will continue to work after support ends though, it just won't receive updates.
