Hop on the Discover page and browse the trending hashtags, then include those in your posts. Also, if you follow general TikTok trends as they happen and create a post in that style or trend, you're more likely to gain traction with your posts.
  • Question
If I like my videos but set it so no one can see, will I get more likes, as people think I have more likes than I do, making me look more likeable so people want to follow/like me more often?

Liking your own videos probably will not work. At the end of the day, people like content because they enjoy it, and that is not going to change if you artificially inflate the number of likes you have.
  • Question
I want to get followers and likes, how can I do this?
    Jayna Akanova
    Community Answer
If you want more followers/likes, you have to do the same thing as explained in the article. If you get more followers, then more people will like your videos.
  • Question
I lost a follower, how is that possible?
    Brooke
    Community Answer
Your follower probably deleted their account, or decided not to follow you for personal reasons. Don't worry, you'll get more followers in the future to make up for it.
  • Question
My mom only wants me to have a private account. Is that a problem?
    Logan Hayes
    Community Answer
Your mom just wants you to be safe, it's her job. You can still be great at TikTok with a private account.
  • Question
How do I convince my parents to let me have a public account?
    Community Answer
Try asking to them face to face. Be nice, show them that you are mature enough to have one by being responsible and doing chores, etc. If they say no, then that is okay, they are just trying to protect you and you can still do a lot with a private account.
  • Question
My account has over 100 followers and over 200 likes but I think my account is shadow banned. My videos are not going viral and no new comments are being posted on them. Is something wrong?
    Community Answer
No. Your account is most likely not shadow banned. You just don't have much activity right now. There are literally millions of videos on TikTok, so yours are probably buried within many other videos just like it.
  • Question
Will using a free follower generator hurt my account?
    Lila h
    Community Answer
You could be banned or called out for it. Also, there really isn't any fun in using a follower generator, so as long as you make appropriate content and use trending hashtags to increase views, you really don't need to.
  • Question
Can I get a verified icon on my TikTok account with only 70 fans?
    Community Answer
For the most part, no, you cannot do so. For this to happen, you would need to be a high-profile celebrity, such as Charli D'Amelio. There are a few exceptions such as companies and government organizations that already have an established following off of TikTok, as well as some content creators from the early days of TikTok and musical.ly.
  • Question
How can I start making money on TikTok?
    Aasim

You can seek out gifts from followers. One way to do so is by going live, but fans can also send gifts in comment sections of eligible creators. Another way to do so is to get people to purchase a subscription. If you have a sponsored video, the advertiser may pay you for the number of views or likes that the video gets (known as CPM or cost-per-thousand). Finally, there is the TikTok creators fund where TikTok pays out growing content creators for making excellent content.
