Leave the bottom of the rug unattached for a few days to let it stretch out. If you secure the bottom too soon, it will start to sag. After a few days or a week, attach the bottom of the rug to the wall using nails or command strips.

Of the methods in this article, the tack strip will probably have the most chance of success because the other two require sewing. However, if the knit is loose on your bed cover, you may wind up damaging it without really accomplishing what you're after. You could try attaching adhesive-backed Velcro strips to your wall and sticking the bed cover directly to those. If you use the hooked side (i.e., not the fluffy side), your cover might be fluffy enough to catch and stick to the Velcro.
