To motivate your children, you should fulfill their fundamental needs of relatedness, autonomy, and competence. As parents, you should connect with them, give them a chance to make decisions for themselves, and do things to modify their environment. Competence has to do with getting good at doing things, but it also has to do with applying oneself to one's world around them. So let the kids do simple things like making their bed, cleaning their desk, pulling out weeds in the yard, or putting up posters to shape their environment can fuel their motivation.

There are lots of ways to build your child"s interest in studies. Maintain a reward jar in which there are chits in it containing the things that your child likes to do. For example, in one chit it is written as listen to your favourite song or drink a chocolate milkshake etc. My child suddenly got into studies when I told her we were going to try this method. You can even try by showing them motivational YouTube videos.
