    Expert Answer
Formulate Pinterest boards and visualize your style inspiration, so you get a sense of what it is that you really like. It’s always good to have style icons in mind or visual representations that you want to work towards. Look at what works for you rather than against you. Fashion is a great way to express yourself and it’s really about being your authentic self.
  • Question
I have Revenge era Gerard Way hair (black, a bit messy, and a little less than shoulder-length). I really don't want to cut it, as I switched to this style very recently and I really like the way it looks. Can I still pass as a guy?
    Community Answer
Yes! Having slightly longer hair doesn't make you girly (Gerard Way looked great with that hairstyle) but if you think people may still think you are girly, use your clothes to help distinguish that you are a boy.
  • Question
Will a binder flatten out breasts over time, or do I need surgery for a flat chest?
    Community Answer
A binder does not flatten your chest, it only makes it look flat. Surgery is the only way to achieve a proper flat chest.
  • Question
Is there anything else I could use insead of a binder?
    Community Answer
You can try using a couple of tight singlets or a sports bra.
  • Question
If I shave my head on the sides, but have long hair in the middle could i still pass as a boy?
    BELA SEDERES
    Community Answer
Yes, this is a common way for boys to do their hair. Sometimes they pull the hair back up into a bun. So you will be able to pass as a boy!
  • Question
My family won't let me cut my hair any shorter than shoulder length or in any "crazy" style. They won't get me a binder. Any tips on how to pass with these additional "rules" I can't avoid?
    Community Answer
Put your hair in a bun, and perhaps stuff your hair into a hat to make it look shorter. As for the binder, a sports bras might be helpful, although you will not get the same result you might with a binder.
  • Question
Does KT Tape work as well for binding as a binder?
    lol lmao
    Community Answer
No type of tape is a healthy and safe binder. Using any type of tape as a chest binder will damage your ribs and constrict your breathing. Instead, get a real binder. If that is not economically possible for you, there are websites where you can get binders for free or get used binders for an extremely low price.
  • Question
If I have a half shaved head, can it still be masculine?
    Community Answer
Yes. Lots of popular male haircuts feature the half shaved look.
  • Question
What dye colors will help me pass as masculine?
    Community Answer
Dark colors, like dark green or dark blue. If you are going for a light color, don't choose anything too bright.
