You could try setting your phone's clock backwards. Go to settings, then date and time, turn off automatic time zone and change the date to two days ago. That may work.

Yes, it is. Sometimes the game will give you a notification to encourage you to reach a level when you are nearing it, such as when you are at 88 it will prompt you to keep going to reach 100.
