  • Question
How do I pick up free movies?
    Community Answer
Redbox will send out codes for free rentals occasionally through their rewards email program. If you want to use the free movie, rent a DVD like normal and, at checkout, there should be a box to enter the code. You will still need a credit card, though, in case you were to lose or keep the DVD.
  • Question
What service can I use to get DVDs delivered to my house?
    Community Answer
Netflix is prompt and reliable. Once in a while there will be a "glitch" on a disk, but those can be returned with a request for a new disk.
  • Question
Do you have to put your credit card info in to start a new membership?
    Community Answer
There are no memberships. Just put in your card to pay at the Redbox. and you're good. You can give them your email address to subscribe to their email service, though.
  • Question
Can I rent from a different state?
    Community Answer
If you are visiting another state, you can rent whatever movies are available there. All Redbox locations are linked, so turning in your DVD to a different Redbox in a different place will still mark it as returned.
  • Question
Can I watch a movie without Internet?
    Community Answer
Redbox disburses DVDs, so you don't need the internet. All you need is some form of DVD player (blu-ray if renting a blu-ray disc) or a laptop with a DVD drive.
  • Question
Are debit and credit cards the only way to pay for a rental?
    Community Answer
No. On some Redboxes I have been able to pay with cash, you just have to find one that accepts it.
  • Question
How much does a rental cost?
    Community Answer
It depends on how new the movie is, whether there is currently an offer on, and what definition (Blu-Ray or DVD) you want it in.
  • Question

  • Question
How do I pick up a reserved DVD?

  • Question
What happens if I swipe my credit card but don't choose a movie?

  • Question
How do I find the closest box that has the specific movie I want? Nothing seems to work.
    Community Answer

  • Question
How do I change the card I pay with when renting movies from Redbox?
