  • Question
My Gmail was hacked. How will I get it back?
    Moonlight
    Community Answer
If your Gmail account has been hacked, first let your people know about it. So, if the hacker sends mean messages to them, they can understand that it is not you but it is a hacker. Then, change your password immediately because, the hacker can themselves change your password. If these aren't working, create a new Gmail account and forward all important emails to that mail. Remember to have a strong password that nobody can find.
  • Question
Someone has made an account in my name. How do I find out who?

You probably won't be able to figure out who made the account. You should just report the account to Google to let them know about it.
  • Question
We received a hateful email from a Gmail account. How can we report them?

Fill out the report form to let Google know. You should also block the account so that they cannot send you anymore hateful emails.
  • Question
My Gmail was hacked, the password changed, the recovery email changed and no phone number. It has all personal information in it as well as work information. How can I get it back?
    R2_d2000
    Top Answerer
In the email that you were sent notifying of the recovery email being changed, there should be a link that you can click or directions that you can follow to say that you did not make the change. Carefully read the email to see if you can follow the link or if there are any instructions for what to do if you did not make the change.
  • Question
Can I still submit a report if I don't have access to the header information?
    R2_d2000
    Top Answerer
Yes. Just type "N/A" into the header box and fill out the rest of the report form.
  • Question
My name is coming up on someone else's Gmail, but I wasn't the one sending it. Why is this?
    R2_d2000
    Top Answerer
It's possible that someone else has the same name as you. The name that is displayed is not the email address and is not unique.
  • Question
I believe someone has been impersonating me since maybe 2014 and all my friends family and, sadly, even my children and have falsely accused me of mean stuff and don't speak to me. What can I do?

If you know the email address, report them to the correct email provider (search "(email provider) report abuse" on Google) and fill out the report. Unfortunately, you cannot do much about how your family feels about you, but this article may have some good information in it. You should also get a new email address to try to prevent impersonation.
