It looks like Google deletes e-mails that are more than 5 years old. Is that true? If not, how can I find an e-mail that's more than 5 years old?

No. Type in the title of the email into the search bar. It is possible that it is still there, especially if you've sorted it into a special folder.

I want the inbox to display by latest date, how do I do so?

I don't find any emails received or sent after two months. Where are they? Are they saved if I haven't deleted them?

Those emails are saved. The most probable case is you have reached scroll limit. To find older emails, you need to filter them. Use keywords "after: before:. Example: 1) after:2019/09/01; 2) before:2019/09/30; 3) after:2019/09/01 before:2019/09/30.

How can I install Gmail on my laptop that uses Windows 10?

There is no gmail app for windows. You can either use Gmail in your web browser, or you can connect your Gmail account to the built-in windows Mail app. To add it to the mail app, search "Mail" in start and open it. Click on the settings cog in the bottom left, then on the side panel press "manage accounts". Press "add account" and select Google.
