    Expert Answer
Your hair is more fragile when it's wet, so sleeping with wet hair can cause friction or rubbing that damages it. If you have to go to bed with wet hair, purchase a satin pillowcase and fan your hair out on your pillow so you're not lying on it.
  • Question
Do satin cases also work well?
    Community Answer
They do. Satin and silk have the same textures, so they should work the same.
  • Question
Is it true that if I sleep with wet hair I could get a cold?
    Community Answer
That is a myth. You will not get sick from sleeping with wet hair.
  • Question
What if I took a bath and just want to sleep? Do I have to wait so my hair dries for a few minutes?

It's up to you. You could dry your hair using a blow-dryer, or you could just go to sleep with it wet.
  • Question
Whenever I sleep with a bun, my hair is always wet in the morning. What other method should I use?
    Community Answer
You can put your hair in a braid, which will make it less frizzy, or you can do a top knot.
  • Question
Are there anyway other ways of tying your hair up without it doing anything but leaving it straight in the morning I could do?
    Community Answer
If you are trying to get straight hair, tie two low pigtails and line them with elastics until no hair is left, then sleep in those. Your hair should be straighter in the morning.
  • Question
I have very long hair, so microfiber towels are too small, but just right towels are too heavy when I make a turban. What should I do?
    Community Answer
I braid my wet hair at night, so if you like you can French braid your tresses and take it out in the morning. You could also grab a satin turban and put your hair in that.
