  • Question
I have a close friend at work. He is a director of his department and I'm in another department. We are considered close because I can always go to his room to chat for a while, eat lunch together, etc. Is this a bromance?
    Jordyn Wilson
    Community Answer
That's great! It sounds like a bromance. Just continue being kind and nice, and everything will work out.
  • Question
Do most bromances lead to sex?
    Community Answer
Bromance, by definition, is platonic. While some deep platonic friendships eventually become romantic in nature, most will not.
  • Question
Is it cool to have more than one bromance?
    Community Answer
Yes, having multiple bromances can work, but you need to commit equal time to each. One option to solve this dilemma is to invite your whole crew out at the same time. Go to a concert, sports game, or restaurant together. The more, the merrier!
  • Question
Is a bromance a type of gay attachment?
    Community Answer
Not at all. It's just a silly word to say guys are super good friends. It means a very close but non-sexual relationship between two men.
  • Question
Can casual kisses ruin a bromance?
    Josh Mustafa
    Community Answer
It depends on how the other person feels about it.
  • Question
My new bromance began holding my hand, cuddling while watching TV, tightly hugging, staring into my eyes, kissing closed mouth and telling me he loves me. He says it platonic. Is it? Is he gay?
    Community Answer
It sounds like more than a friendship if you are kissing.
  • Question
Can I be a part of a bromance even if I'm a girl?
    Community Answer
No, you can't. You can have close friends that are men, but a "bromance" by definition is a friendship between two men.
  • Question
My best friend cuddles up to me and sleeps on my shoulder. Is it normal (as a platonic bromance)?
    Tom De Backer
    Top Answerer
I have many male friends, and none ever slept on my shoulder. But sure, it's absolutely normal. There's trust, friendship, and clearly also fatigue. So yeah, I don't see anything wrong with it. Unless you don't like it, then you kindly and gently indicate where your boundaries are. "Feeling drowsy? Here's a pillow, you'll sleep better on the armrest."
