  • Question
How can I win my first battle?
    Community Answer
Have a basic idea of how your rap will flow. Maybe have a mental list of rhyming words or some catchy phrases up your sleeve. Most rap battles include some spontaneous lyrics, so be prepared to work around a sudden outburst, you never know what might happen. Practice makes perfect.
  • Question
If I'm going to rap battle somebody at school, how do I get a large crowd to watch?
    Community Answer
Do it in a common area like the lunchroom or wherever people congregate before or after school (just make sure it's not the halls when people are trying to get to class).
  • Question
No matter how much I practice, when I freestyle I keep thinking blank. What do I do?

    Community Answer
Sometimes you can just throw some random stuff in, as long as you talk really fast. No one cares.
  • Question
I can come up with lyrics pretty fast, so is it okay to burn someone if they're my friend? As long as I don't cross any lines?
    Community Answer
As long as your friend has agreed to be in a rap battle with you, sure. Don't just rip into somebody that's on the sidelines. But yes, you should still be careful not to say anything really cruel.
