I got my Monroe done 4 days ago. I've had no swelling, no issues at all, been using the mouthwash recommended & the piercing cleaner several times a day. Do I have to wait to change the jewelry?

Yes, it would be wise to wait for at least a month before changing it. It could disrupt the healing process and get infected. I would also recommend going to your piercer for a jewelry change when the time comes.

My Monroe piercing swells each morning I wake up. Got it 3 days ago. How long will this take place? No smell or pain or pus, just swollen.

A Monroe piercing will swell up for about a week if it is recent. It's nothing to worry about, it's just your body trying to fight the bacteria in the piercing itself so it wont get infected.

I got my Monroe done 4 days ago. It is a little red and I have been cleaning it and it is only sore when I clean it. Sometimes it has very little stuff that comes out, what do you think I should do?

That is completely normal. I have had lip piercings for years, occasionally they still pus. It is completely normal for it to still be sore and pus; it will happen for the next 4-6 weeks. If it doesn't stop hurting in 4 weeks, go back to your piercer. I know it is sore, but you have to keep it clean. Try a teaspoon of salt in a litre of water and let it dissolve and cool to room temperature before using.

How long do I need to do the aftercare? My monroe feels good at just over a week old but I know it's nowhere near healed. Is it 2 weeks enough time for all the rinses and such?

Do the aftercare until it's fully healed. It is usual clean it every day for 3 months minimum, more if your piercer tells you to.

Swelling is part of your body's natural response to having a piercing, so this by itself is not a cause for concern. If this swelling is accompanied by pain, redness, pus, an unpleasant smell, or the area feels notably warmer than other parts of your face then it is likely your piercing site has become infected - if this is the case, speak to your doctor. If you only have swelling and no other symptoms, keep following your piercer's aftercare advice and contact them if you have any concerns.
