I am trying to go with a minimalist decor. Will hanging mirrors instead of pictures detract from this style?

I wouldn't go with all mirrors instead of pictures. Go for one big mirror with several smaller pictures that together would take up the same amount of wall space as the mirror. I would also hang them on a wall opposite the mirror or on an adjacent wall (not on the same wall as the mirror).
