How can I find out who uploaded a private video on YouTube?

You can't determine who uploaded a private video unless the uploader grants you special access or you remember the channel name from when the video was public. Private videos embedded elsewhere or in public playlists will show a "Private Video" message without revealing the channel name. If you commented on the video before it became private, your comment in the History tab might offer a clue.
