Taking trips on Lyft Driver might be easy, but when it comes to viewing your trip earnings, things can get a bit more confusing. If you are wondering how your earnings were broken down, this wikiHow will help.

Part 1 of 2:

Navigating to the Page

  1. 1
Open the Lyft Driver app. It has a white border with a pink steering wheel as its icon.
  2. 2
Navigate to your Driver Dashboard. Tap your profile picture in the top left corner and tap "Dashboard".

  3. 3
Get to your Driving History page. Tap the three-lined button in the top left corner and tap "Driving History".
  4. 4
Look for a weekly transaction that you'd like to read about. Tap the week.
  5. 5
Review the trip earnings page for that week. Although it won't give precise ride-by-ride transactions here, you can be assured to know how your money was distributed. On this page, you'll see your "Earnings" (and whether or not the Lyft Express Pay Fee was used for the earnings distribution). It'll summarize your weekly payout as it's own separate line.
  6. 6
Find the date of the ride to review. Tap the date line (such as "Oct 28, 2018 (Sun)" - which also includes how many rides you gave on that date).
  7. 7
Look at the daily earnings detail page. Here you'll see how much you made and the pay fee used (if so). It also tells you if there was a bonus that was distributed to you - such as if you were on a streak - or not.
  8. 8
Tap a trip from the "Ride History" area. The trips will be listed as the time of the request on the top line and total miles driven with the passenger and total time to drive this distance the bottom line. Over on the right hand side of the line, you'll see how much you made along with the type of service given.
  9. 9
Read the resultant page. On this page, you'll find an outline of the information. Your route map will be found above, followed by the time of pickup (and time of the request), time of drop-off, and how much you've made. You'll have a button (described next), followed by your ride receipt number which acts like a trip ID number. If the passenger waited more than the time allowed for their trip, your wait time will appear as additional money here.
  10. 10
Tap the "View Earnings Breakdown" button. The page will expand.

Reading the Earnings Breakdown Details

  1. 1
Look at the " Earnings Breakdown" page. Although the top lines up to the total haven't changed, the rest of the page opened and more information is given.
  2. 2
View the price the passenger paid for their ride underneath the "Passenger(s) Paid" label to the right of "ride payments".
  3. 3
Look at the taxes the passenger paid. Total (state) tax is listed next and is one of the items the passenger paid that is deducted from your ride's earnings. Continue reading.
  4. 4
Read the Lyft Earnings service fees the passenger paid that are deducted from the ride earnings. You'll see some fees, such as the Lyft Platform Fee and Service Fee, in all markets, while others have different fees as well.
    • Although your earnings are based on what you see under "You Received", if you take the "Ride Payments" and subtract "Others Received" and "Lyft Received," the two should match.
  5. 5
Look for the ride receipt # listed at the very bottom of the screen. This shouldn't have changed either compared to the information before the button was pressed.
