Steps

Open Skype on your computer. The Skype icon looks like a white "S" in a blue circle. You can find it in your Applications folder on a Mac, or on your Start menu on Windows.

Click a chat on the left sidebar. Find the person you want to call on the left-hand side, and open the chat.
- Alternatively, you can open your contacts menu, and select a contact to call. To do this, click the CONTACTS button on the left sidebar on Windows, or the figurehead icon on the top-left on Mac.

Start a video call. Click the camera icon in the upper-right corner of the chat, and start a video call with your contact.

Click "Start recording" after opening the "+" menu. Everyone will be notified that you have started recording the call.

Click "Stop recording" when you're done recording. It will stop recording your video call.

View the recording. You can play the recording back by opening the Skype chat and clicking on the video. The recording can be watched and saved for up to 30 days.Advertisement
