Open the YouTube Music app. The YouTube Music app has an icon that resembles a red circular icon with a white triangle inside a smaller red circle. Tap the YouTube Music icon on your homescreen or apps drawer to open YouTube Music.

Tap your user profile image. Your user profile image is the circular image in the upper-right corner of the YouTube Music app. This displays a page with your Account information.Advertisement

Tap Get Music Premium . It's the red button at the bottom of the Account information page.
- If you have already done the Premium free trial, tap Paid Memberships , and then tap Turn On .

Tap Try for Free . It's the blue button in the center of the "Get Music Premium" page.
- If you wish to do a free 1-month trial of the Family membership, tap the blue text that says family membership below the "Try it free" button. Then tap the blue Try it Free button in the "Family - 1-month free trial" box.

Select a payment method. You can pay with a credit or debit card, Paypal account, or have it billed through your mobile carrier. If you do not have a credit or debit card tied to your Google account, you will need to enter your credit card information. Likewise, if you don't have a Paypal account tied to your Google account, you will need to provide the email and password associated with your Paypal account.
