Signing in to Your Account

Open your preferred browser on your device. As of right now, Snapchat for Web only works on the latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari (on computers, and not tablets or phones).
- Ensure your browser is up to date or it may not support Snapchat.
- If you're not already using one of the supported browsers, you can install one of them using your current browser.

Enter your Snapchat username or the email address you used to sign up for your account. Alternatively, you can click Use phone number instead , if you're having trouble recalling your username or email.
- If you don't yet have a Snapchat account, you can create one.

Enter your password. In the event that you have forgotten your password, click the Forgotten password button. You will be asked to verify your identity using either your phone number or email address.

Using Snapchat for Web

Learn how to send a Snap to a friend. To do this, head to Snapchat for Web . You'll then want to click on the large camera icon to switch on the camera, and tap the white circle at the bottom to take the photo. You may have to allow the site to access your camera before you can do so. After taking your Snap, click the blue Send to button in the bottom right corner, and select the friend/s you wish to send your photo to. Then click Send .
- When you're taking your Snap, you can also choose from a variety of filters located at the bottom if you'd like by clicking on them.
Note: For the sake of the privacy of other users, while you can send Snaps on your computer, you cannot open other people's Snaps.

Know how to send a Chat to a friend. To do this, you'll first want to head to Snapchat for Web . Then, scroll through your Chat feed or use the search bar and select the friend you want to send a message to, or start a new Chat by pressing the blue circle Chat icon at the top right of the side panel. After that, click the text field at the bottom of the screen and type your message. Then, hit "enter" on your keyboard or the blue arrow icon at the far right of the text field to send the Chat.
- You can also send photo Chats by clicking the picture icon at the far right of the screen and selecting the image file you want to send.

Find out how to call a friend. You'll first want to go to Snapchat for Web . After that, scroll through your Chat feed or use the search bar and select the friend you want to video call, or start a new Chat by pressing the blue circle Chat icon at the top right of the side panel. Then, click the Call button at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- If you click the left side of the button with the video icon, you will start a video call. If you click the right side of the button with the phone icon, you will initiate a voice call.

Start a group chat. After heading to Snapchat for Web , you'll then want to click on the blue circle Chat icon at the top right of the side panel. After that, select two or more of your friends, and click on the Group chat button at the bottom to create the new group and begin Chatting!

Change your settings. While Snapchat for Web does not offer as many settings as Snapchat would on your phone, there are a couple things you can tweak, including your theme (light/dark), sound effects, and notifications.
