Name of document and database
Begin your citation with the full title of the monograph, topic, or chart you accessed through Lexicomp followed by a period and the database where that document can be found.
Example:
Etanercept. Lexi-Drugs.
Publisher and location
Lexicomp is published by Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. in Riverwoods, IL, which should be stated next and separated by periods.
Example:
Etanercept. Lexi-Drugs. Lexicomp. Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc. Riverwoods, IL.
A URL for Lexicomp
Provide the URL for the main page of Lexicomp since the direct URL only works for one user’s specific search. The URL should come after “Available at” to tell the reader that it’s not a direct URL.

Date accessed
End your citation by providing the date you accessed the document. Write “Accessed” then the date in month-day-year format.

Use superscript for in-text citations
Your reference list will contain superscript numbers that appear in the body of your text, so use that superscript number at the end of your sentence to reference that source.
