I’m majoring in economics and English, making me uniquely suited to a role at a company like Clarity that specializes in both quantifiable market research and creative advertising. In addition to my double major course load, I have also audited classes from the Jenkins School of Business at Pierce. Courses like Strategic Market Management and Creative Online Advertising, in which I designed a full marketing strategy for a major restaurant chain, have shown me that I’m truly passionate about this career path. I have also gotten practical industry experience at my job as assistant director of advertising at Pierce’s Student Union Store. My major accomplishment was spearheading a partnership with the Athletic Department. We created commercials to play at major basketball and football games and had cheerleaders throw out T-shirts at halftime, among other out-of-the-box promotional strategies. My innovations led to sales increasing by 6% last semester. Clarity has not yet advertised any internships, so I thought I would get a jump on the process by reaching out to you directly.
