Dear Ms. Orielle,
I found the Assistant Programme & Event Services Volunteer position as a result of my obsessive browsing of the Toronto International Film Festival careers website, and I am very excited to submit my application. I believe that my skills and experience, paired with my knowledge of the industry, will make me an ideal candidate for this position.
The majority of my experience is in customer service, sales, finance, and administration. Having worn many hats during my six-year employment with Rogers Wireless, I can confidently say that my organizational and communicative skills are exquisite. I also have two years of experience as a volunteer for the Vancouver Film Festival, during which time I performed such roles as chauffeur to guests and filmmakers, theatre attendant, and administrative assistant. I am extremely computer savvy, and in addition to being proficient with the entire Microsoft Office Suite, I am highly capable of learning new software.
On a more personal note, I have a keen passion for film and am very knowledgeable of both the local and global industries. I live and breathe film and am infinitely inspired when working in the field in any capacity. I have done my research and have nothing but confidence in my ability to excel at this position. All I ask for is an opportunity to prove it.
I hope this gives you some insight into who I am and what I can bring to the position. I am available all day Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday, and after 6 p.m. every other day. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at (647) 555-0198 or email bjroth@email.com. Thank you for your consideration, and I sincerely look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Bronson J. Roth
