Shawn Mendes has said that he’s still exploring his sexuality. During a 2024 show in Denver, Mendes said, “I think it’s kind of silly because I think sexuality is such a beautifully complex thing and its so hard to just put into boxes...The real truth about my life and my sexuality is that, man, I’m just figuring it out like everyone and I don’t really know sometimes and I know other times.”
Mendes doesn’t seem to appreciate all of the prying when it comes to his sexual orientation, so it’s likely best to stop speculating and give him the space to figure it out for himself. He even addressed the speculation on his sexuality in the song “The Mountain,” crooning, “You can say I like girls or boys / Whatever fits your mold.” What do you think?
