Method 1
Method 1 of 2:
Changing Your Display Name Using the Mobile App
-
Open Spotify. This app icon looks like radio waves on a green background that you can find on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching.
- The iOS mobile app is similar to Android, so this method will work for both.
- If you don't have the Spotify mobile app, you can download it for free from the Google Play Store or App Store.
- Log in if prompted.
-
Tap the icon that looks like a house. You'll see this in the bottom left of your screen to the left of the search icon.Advertisement

-
Enter your email address or username. You'll need access to that email so you can reset the password.

Open the email from Spotify. You'll see the sender of the email is listed as Spotify.
- If you don't see it in your inbox, you may need to check the spam folder.
-
Click Reset Password . You'll see this in bright green text above your Spotify username, which might be a bunch of letters and numbers.
-
Enter a new password twice. You'll need to enter a new password and click to check the box next to "I'm not a robot" before continuing.
-
Click Send . You'll see this green button centered at the bottom of the form.
- If your passwords matched, you'll be redirected to a confirmation page that your password has been changed and that you can sign in.
