Elon Musk has described himself as a "cultural Christian" and a "big believer in the principles of Christianity," but he does not, apparently, identify as a Christian. "Cultural Christian" is a label other non-Christians, including famous atheist author Richard Dawkins, have claimed as a way to express that while they may not attend church or believe in God, they, apparently, see merit in the religion's morals, traditions, and societal values.
It's likely Musk has adopted the label of "cultural Christian" for political purposes, since he leans very politically conservative and many conservative people identify as Christian.
