Appetizers
* Serve wedges of persimmon with prosciutto or bacon on mini skewers for a fun and festive passed hors d’oeuvre.
* Top slices of french bread with melted brie and persimmon wedges.
* Add to a fall salad with delicate greens such as watercress or arugula, citrus fruits such as orange and grapefruit, and a colorful root veggie such as beets.

Mains
* Serve sauteed persimmons with dark leafy greens such as chard or mustard greens; it pairs well with spiced pork or chicken.
* Make a gazpacho by combining pureed persimmon, cucumbers, green onion, and sweet peppers with 1 Tbsp. olive oil and a splash of white wine vinegar.
* Bake up a batch of oatmeal with diced persimmon and cranberries.
* Add round slices of persimmon to a fancied up grilled cheese using whole grain bread, brie, and prosciutto.
Dessert
* Freeze persimmons for 8 hours, cut off the tops, and serve with a spoon for an ice cream–like treat.
