Recipe for French Toast without Vanilla
Ingredients:
* 4-6 slices of bread
* 3 eggs
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
* Pinch of salt
* Butter for cooking
* Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions:
In a shallow bowl or pie plate, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly.
Melt a small pat of butter in the skillet or griddle. Place the bread slices in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
Serve the French toast hot with maple syrup and powdered sugar, if desired.
Note: If you have other flavorings such as almond or maple extract, you can use them as a substitute for vanilla to add more flavor to your French toast.
