Wondering what split ends look like? You can tell that you have split ends if the ends of your hair strands fray or split into multiple parts. These fraying strands may form "Y" or "V" shapes. If you have split ends, you can trim your hair to maintain a healthy appearance.

To prevent split ends, avoid using heat on your hair, use moisturizing and conditioning products, and use hair masks and serums. Aim to wash your hair no more than 2-3 times a week, and when you do, shampoo only your roots and condition only the ends of your hair.

How do you take care of your hair to handle split ends? Let us know in the comments below!

What I'd recommend to prevent or handle split ends is:
  • Get trims regularly.
  • Cut every few months to remove split ends.
  • Use good shampoos and conditioners that address your hair needs.
  • Be gentle with your hair. Don't tug or pull, play with or twist strands for no reason, use a soft brush but comb gently, and avoid tight hairstyles.
  • Limit blow dryers and hot tools like straighteners, keep chemicals to a minimum, and let your hair air dry as much as you can.
  • Drink water to stay hydrated and eat a healthy diet to help hair grow strong.

splits ends are hair where they just drop down at the end of the tip bottom of your hair. If it happens it's a sighn your having hair damage. don't wash your hair everyday. have clean hair and take care of it. also it shows that you have dead hair. and that you need to trim. yes also get regular trims
