But how can you monitor your FPS while you're in-game when the game doesn't have an obvious FPS counter, like Counter Strike: Global Offensive? Thankfully, there are thankfully a number of easy and quick ways you can enable an FPS counter in CS:GO despite the game not having a toggle for one in its settings. Keep reading to learn more.

Quick Steps

  1. Open your CS:GO settings.
  2. Click the Game tab.
  3. Change the dropdown next to "Enable Developer Console" to Yes .
  4. Press the "~" (tilde) key to open the console.
  5. Type "cl_showfps 1" and press enter to enable the in-game FPS counter.
  6. To turn off the counter, open the console again and type "cl_showfps 0."

  2. It should be the last option in the right-click contextual menu.
  3. The General tab is the default tab when you open a Steam game's properties, and the Launch Options heading is at the bottom of the General section.
