[Describe yourself in a unique way]
So here’s my story… I’m a teacher by day and a wanna-be reiki-master by night. A native Oregonian, I couldn’t live without my daily barefoot walk in the dewey morning grass. If you asked my friends they’d say I’m a typical Libra with Aquarius tendencies.
I like literature, critical theory, local music shows, The Wire, cooking with ingredients most people have never even heard of, poetry, James Baldwin, cappuccinos with cinnamon, Tom Waits, pretending that I don’t still love the Spice Girls, attempting to slack-line, and sleeping in past noon on weekends.
[Describe your perfect match]
My perfect match is a man who has a favorite Kafka story, traps and frees moths, listens to early Bob Dylan (circa 1964-1970), would rather spend money on experiences rather than things, and doesn’t try to be cool on the dance floor. Brownie points for anyone can talk about quasars and point out Cassiopeia in the sky.
[Be open and honest about your intentions]
I’m not looking to settle down, but I am looking for something more long-term than hooking-up.
[Describe your ideal date]
My ideal date is going to a bookstore, leaving through the mystery section, and reading aloud the first lines we stumble upon in random accents. Then we’d have tapas and wine on quaint little patio overflowing with plants and vines. We’d discuss our days and then dive into literary-talk like what literary worlds we’d most like to live in, which authors we would make president or a day, which authors we think are under/overrated, and trading puns like “Forever Jung.” We’d end the night walking around the quiet city streets, staring up at the sky and pretending like we know constellations (again, extra points if you do).
