Lemon Butter Green Beans with Toasted Almonds Ingredients: ½ pound green beans 1 tablespoon butter 1 lemon ⅛ cup almonds Tools: Coffee maker Paper towel Aluminum foil Iron/Ironing board 1. Wash and trim green beans in sink. 2. Place beans in coffee maker basket. 3. Run coffee maker cycle 3-4 times, or until desired tenderness is reached. Drain beans on a paper towel. 4. Meanwhile, place almonds between two sheets of aluminum foil in a single layer. 5. Press iron onto aluminum foil and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat until the entire surface of the foil has been covered. 6. While coffee warmer is still hot, place butter in empty coffee carafe and return to warmer to melt butter. Squeeze the juice of the lemon into the butter. Swirl to mix. 7. Return beans to carafe and toss to coat. 8. Serve beans topped with toasted almonds.
