Steps
If you have a monitored security alarm system with fire protection, you can use the fire panic keys to send help from the fire department. If not, you might still be able to use it to warn your neighbors or your building of a fire.

Go to your security panel or intercom. Sending a fire alarm depends on the model of security panel.

Depress the keys until the security alarm beeps. On the alarm system, you will see FIRE marked on the panel. You will also hear the fire alarm in your home or in your building sound.

Get everyone out of the unit. Remember to close doors to prevent the spread of fire or smoke throughout the residential building.

Call the fire department. If the alarm is not monitored, you will need to call the fire department to report the fire.
