The Sims 2 Nightlife introduced vampires to the game, allowing ordinary Sims to live amongst these supernatural beings. If your Sim wants to become a vampire, or if you're just bored of playing typical Sims, you can turn your Sim into a vampire, too.
Steps
-
Add a Downtown to your neighborhood. Vampires don't show up unless they're Downtown.
-
2Travel Downtown after dark. After 7 PM in-game, use the phone to call a taxi, or use your Sim's car. Direct them to go to a community lot downtown.Advertisement

3Look for a Grand Vampire. Grand Vampires are fairly easy to spot - between their signature "bleh", walking with their arm over their face, and their unique appearance, you'll notice them as soon as they walk onto the lot.
- Gray skin
- Red eyes
- Fangs visible when they talk
- Victorian clothing
- Name beginning with "Count" (for males) or "Contessa" (for females)
-
4Improve your Sim's relationship with the vampire. Have your Sim start interacting with the vampire, and focus on improving their relationship. You'll need a relationship of at least 50, though you may want to aim for higher.
-
5Let the vampire bite your Sim. Once your Sim's relationship with the Grand Vampire is high enough, the Grand Vampire will eventually bite your Sim of their own accord. Your Sim will immediately transform into a vampire after being bitten.
- The Grand Vampire will then continue to bite other Sims, even if they don't have a high relationship with them, so you might want to leave the lot to protect other Sims.

1Keep your vampire inside during the day. Because vampire Sims will die if exposed to the sun , you'll want to keep them indoors, away from windows or other sources of light. While just being indoors will have your Sim's needs decline at a typical pace, being in the sun will cause your Sim's needs to plummet.
- Your Sim can sleep in a coffin to protect themselves from the sun, which will freeze their needs.
Did You Know? Other Sims can peer into a sleeping vampire's coffin - however, the vampire might frighten them, which can kill them if they have low needs!
-
2Have your Sim live their life during the night. Being creatures of the night, vampire Sims will have their needs frozen during the night, making it an ideal time to do whatever you choose.
-
3Turn other Sims into vampires. Any vampires can turn other Sims into vampires as long as they have a Lifetime Relationship of at least 50. Click on the Sim you want to turn and choose Bite Neck .
-
Cure your Sim of vampirism if you get bored. If you don't want your Sim to be a vampire anymore, call the matchmaker and purchase the Vamprocillin-D potion for 60 Simoleons. The potion will be placed in their inventory. Direct your vampire to drink the potion and they'll be cured immediately.
