When leveling up your Adventure Rank (AR), you will eventually hit a level cap. If you hit a level cap, your Adventure EXP will overflow, but your rank will not increase until you complete an ascension quest. This wikiHow will show you how to complete adventure rank ascension quests. You will need to complete ascension quests at adventure ranks 25, 35, 45, and 50 to increase your world level and thus your maximum adventure rank. Your world level will automatically increase, though, at adventure ranks 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55, and automatically cap at world level 8.

  1. This domain is one of the first domains that you will encounter in the game. It is located northeast closest to where you started in Starsnatch Cliff.
    • The recommended party level is the same as your target enemy level after ascension (35/60/80/90).
    • While not necessary, it is recommended that your team consists of a pyro character, an anemo character, a hydro character, and a cryo character.
  2. This should be as simple as knocking them over the edge. There are also a few boxes that you can break to get ingredients for cooking.

  3. This is where the first major fight occurs. Here, you will have to defeat three Hilichurls, a wooden shield Mitachurl, and a Ruin Guard . Tackle the Hilichurls first then use Cryo and Hydro to freeze the Ruin Guard or Mitachurl and Anemo to spread the effect. After defeating, the barrier to the next battle will open.
  4. Be wary of the lasers, they can interrupt your flight and deal damage continuously. There should be a wooden container containing more ingredients.
  5. After flying down, you will find more enemies to defeat. All the enemies in that room have to be defeated before you can proceed to the next chamber.
    • Don't forget about the wooden boxes and barrels. Those may contain ingredients for cooking later.
    • Focus on the Mitachurl as it can be difficult to defeat. Use Pyro to break its shield then use Anemo to spread the effect to the Mitachurl and the Hilichurls.
  6. Approach the huge key in the next room and touch it to start the challenge. Focus mainly on the Fatui agent as it can deal the most damage; he is the hardest to defeat. Also keep your eye on the clock as if it runs out, you will have to start all over again.

Tip : Use your traveler's Gust Surge to blow Hilichurls into one direction to make it easier to defeat them.

  7. After completing this area, move on down. In this room, you will have to dodge lasers that are moving. It should be pretty straightforward.
  8. The room following has two Cryo Hilichurl archers firing shots at you. Avoid falling into the water; this will make it easy to get Frozen. Instead, navigate between platforms. Don't forget to break the barrels as there may be ingredients inside. Once you reach the doorway, knock the Hilichurls into the water to drown them.
  9. At the end of the corridor are two Abyss Mages: Cryo and Hydro. To do so, use Pyro to break the Cryo Abyss Mage’s shield, and Electro for the Hydro Abyss Mage. You could also use Anemo to blend their elements together. Once you have broken their shield, you can just deal more physical damage to defeat them.
  10. The last enemy you will have to defeat is an Electro Hypostasis . Once you have done so, a Luxurious Chest spawns. Your max Adventure Rank increases by 5, and your World Level increases by 1.
    • If you accumulated a lot of Adventure EXP, your World Level may increase by 2.
  11. Don't forget to go to the Adventurer's Guild when you are done to obtain all your rewards.

  • Question
Any specifics on defeating the final boss: eg Electro Hypostasis? There was a lot of detail here but the guide completely glossed over the toughest part of the quest.

For most of its attacks, sprinting out of the way does the trick. When it does the rock, paper, scissors attack, run behind it and it won't be able to get you. When it does the rotating laser attack, sprint toward the lasers when they get close. Bring good cryo and pyro characters to most effectively beat it and destroy its pillars, as the electro hypostasis is immune to electro. A good free-to-play option for breaking its final pillars is to use Kaeya's burst and skill on the pillars, as his burst does a good amount of cryo damage. You can also use Amber's baron bunnies or burst.

Who do I use when it tries to do the Resurrection thingy?

When the Electro Hypostasis tries to revive itself, use a Cryo character to get rid of the prisms. You can use Kaeya, a free character given in the starter pack, but any Cryo character like Ganyu or Eula will work just fine!
  • Question
I’m at Ascension Rank 35. At the Electro Hypostasis part, I have to defeat one; how should I go about defeating it?

I would suggest bringing a character with a low cooldown for their skill, since destroying the three crystals will need elements. The best solution is to bring a built bow character so that its charged attack can easily destroy the crystals.
