Can I chat on Facebook without entering a phone number?
    Community Answer
Yes, you can. But if you have Messenger uninstalled on your phone, you will have to enter a phone number. It can connect to your phone, and you can call and chat with that respective person through your phone. You could install Messenger; you don't have to put your phone number in your profile.

I downloaded Facebook, but I want to use my old one. How do I do that?
    Community Answer
If there is no account saved in that device and you want to open your account in that device, you have to Sign In (the old account) in that device. Tips

      • The first thing you should do to your Facebook profile is adjust your privacy settings . This will help you gauge what you can get away with posting to your account.
      • According to marketing and social media expert Beth Cormack, you should treat your Facebook bio as an elevator pitch. Keep it short and sweet! Only focus on the most impactful things about yourself. Add some personality to it, even if you are making a brand or business page.

      Warnings

      • Think about what you are going to post on your profile before you actually post it. Think about what you type, what groups you create or join, what quizzes you take, and what photos you post. Employers and colleges scour Facebook profiles. If you post something illicit or illegal, everyone is going to see it, including your employers and possibly law enforcement.
      • Do not add anyone you do not know as a friend, or accept friend requests from people you don't know, especially if you are under the age of 18. If you add someone you do not know as a friend, you run the risk of talking to someone dangerous. Ask yourself two questions, Have I ever met this person? and Is this person dangerous?
      • Don't post your phone number or your house address on Facebook; even with high security settings, you run the risk of being hacked (not to mention sized up and filed away by data miners).
