Locating the Geo Hypostasis

  1. This waypoint is also northwest of the Domain of Guyun.
  2. The Geo Hypostasis is immune to all Geo attacks and mostly immune to physical attacks, meaning you will need to have party members that can trigger elemental reactions.
    • One fast way to deal massive amounts of damage is to combine Pyro with Electro to result in Overloaded.
    • You will also want a character that can regenerate your other characters' health, such as Barbara. If you do not have a character that can restore HP, then you will need a lot of food, and you will need to pay attention very closely.

  3. If you decide to stay mostly on land, you will have to battle a few monsters. If you decide to swim across, you can skip the monsters and head straight to the boss.
    • If you own the playable character Mona, you can use her alternate sprint to walk across water without swimming. You can also use a cryo character such as Kaeya or Chongyun to create an ice bridge.
  4. The Geo Hypostasis is located in the center of the arena. Interacting with it will start the battle.
    • The boss has the potential to deal lots of damage if you are unprepared.
    • The arena has a huge square inscribed in the center.

Dodging Attacks

  1. At the start of the battle, the Geo Hypostasis will form unclimbable stone pillars to elevate itself. This will also make it harder to attack the Geo Hypostasis.
  2. In this attack, the Geo Hypostasis will form a round, circular shape and fire small pebbles at you. While they are not guided, they can deal damage if you are not careful.
    • You can use a Geo pillar as a shield, and the small rocks will degrade the pillar strength over time.
  3. When this happens, the Geo Hypostasis is about to summon a boulder at your location. Dash to dodge when the rock is about to form.
  4. The Geo Hypostasis may launch shockwaves from the Geo pillars. Get out of the range of the pillar to avoid the shockwaves. If you see concentrated Geo energy next to one of the pillars, break it and enter the resulting forcefield to avoid taking damage.
  5. At some point, the Geo Hypostasis will open portals in the sky where rocks will fall through. Stay away from these rocks to avoid taking damage over time.
  6. The Geo Hypostasis may fly near the player and move in a clapping motion around the player. When the boss forms a wall, get away from it.
  7. In this attack, the Geo Hypostasis will form a large hammer then throw the hammer down into the arena. Dash to dodge this attack.

Dealing Damage

  1. The core is exposed in between launching attacks. It will also be revealed during certain kinds of attacks. You can deal with physical damage during this period.
  2. Using physical attacks or using a character that can absorb Geo (like Zhongli) attack the Geo pillars to destroy it. After destroying the Geo pillar the Hypostasis is currently on, the Hypostasis will fall to the ground then teleport to the next available Geo Hypostasis.
  3. If your stamina is too low, you may not be able to dodge a specific attack. You can refill your stamina with food or by resting, and you can decrease stamina consumption with other food items.
  4. You will want to have weapons that can deal serious physical damage, such as a five-star Claymore. Hold the attack button down to deal continuous damage against the Hypostasis.
    • Also, combine the different elements together. One easy way to deal massive amounts of damage is to combine Pyro with Electro, resulting in Overloaded.
  5. After reaching less than 5% HP, the Geo Hypostasis will dissipate into three pillars. Destroy these three pillars to prevent the Geo Hypostasis from healing. After doing so, the Geo Hypostasis will effectively be defeated.
    • If you fail to destroy all three Geo pillars, then the Hypostasis will regenerate 15% of its maximum HP for each pillar remaining. Pillars that are destroyed once do not need to be destroyed again, so if you manage to destroy one Geo pillar, you will only need to destroy the two Geo pillars absorbed by the Hypostasis.

  1. This looks a bit like a wilted flower and is probably in the center of the arena.
  2. If you do not have enough Original Resin, you can use Fragile Resin instead.
  3. Depending on your level, you may get different rewards, but you will always get Basalt Pillar (an ascension material for Geo characters such as Albedo and Ningguang), artifacts, and Adventure, Character, and Companionship EXP.
