Draw an ear by curving up the line, making a point, then curving back down. Repeat for the other side.

Draw the horse's forelock. Right in the center of the ears, move your pencil directly down to make its forelock. Next, go on the top neck, past the ears, and go down, making the lines as long as you want for the mane.
