I feel like we always default to going out to eat or doing some shopping when we go out, and it's kinda getting a little stale tbh. Aren't there exciting things we could do inside that actually get us talking or having fun? I'd love to hear your pitches.

Hi! My partner and I had the same issue awhile ago when we were running out of new places to shop lol. What it really comes down to is if you want to find a place to go or if you want to do activities at home.

If you're looking to get out of the house, then it's always fun to go to a museum or art gallery in your area. Bonus points if you find a small and niche museum because they have the most unique things. If there's a cafe or bar that has a trivia night, that's a fun option too!

I'm also big on activities where we learn something together. We've done cooking classes at home and also gone to a studio to take an introductory dance class too.

At home, we love planning a big movie night with blankets and popcorn, coloring and listening to music together, and playing board games.

Hope these options help you find something great!

I like crafty and creative indoor dates! We'll take turn picking out craft kits and doing them together. We've done a paint-by-numbers. We bought some modeling clay and made cute little sculptures together. We tried our hand at crocheting critters. We did origami. We wrote poems for each other. There are so many kits!

If you’re looking to spice things up with indoor date ideas, there are definitely some fun options beyond just eating out or shopping. You could try a game night, especially if you’re both into gaming—playing PC games together could spark some fun competition and conversation. If you’re feeling crafty, you might enjoy working on a DIY project together, whether it's painting, building something, or making personalized decor. Another cool idea is to challenge each other in the kitchen with a cooking or baking competition, or even set up an indoor picnic with snacks, blankets, and maybe some music. If you like puzzles, trivia, or escape room games, those are great ways to have fun and work together. For a chill night, you could have a themed movie marathon with some interactive challenges, or explore a virtual tour of a museum or historical site. There’s a lot you can do indoors that will help you connect and keep things exciting!
