My brother got the puppet on the prize corner but he didn't kill him or he left the music box. Why?

Either the night ended before the puppet was able to attack, or there was a game glitch and the puppet probably never left the box because there was no time.

Was Chica a cheerleader in Five Nights at Freddy's?

No. Chica was also an animatronic, along with Freddy, Bonnie and Foxy. Most likely, the cheerleader would be Purple Guy (William Afton), shown in future games.

Is the purple guy Springtrap?

In the Night 5 minigame, you see purple guy climb in the Springtrap suit, and water on the suit causes the springlocks to unwind, springing back into place, killing purple guy. You can see purple guy in Springtrap on the three rare images that pop up when you start the game.

Make sure to listen to the "Pop Goes the Weasel" song play before the jumpscare. Having your sound on instead of muted will ensure the scare doesn't just come out of nowhere.
Keep your focus on the game after hearing the song, don't get distracted. Staying attentive will make the jumpscare more frightening when it happens.
Try to experience the jumpscare earlier in the night rather than at 5 AM. There's a better chance you'll get it before surviving through the night.
Just don't wind the music box at all if you want to experience The Puppet's jumpscare. Letting it run out is the key to triggering his attack.
Turn your volume up for the full terrifying effect of the high-pitched robotic scream. Cranking up the volume adds to the scare factor.
