Face painting is done for many reasons, for instance, Halloween, stage performance or festivals. It is easy to put it on but keeping it in place maybe a challenge, especially in hot weather or when you have to keep it on for long. Start with step 1 below for several methods on how to make your face paint stay in place!

Before you put your paint on, wash your face with face wash to get rid of all the oil form your face. Then pat dry your skin with a towel.

Apply a pea-sized amount of cold cream all over your face. Apply only a little because you do not want a slippery face as a result of applying too much cream.Advertisement

Smear grease paint all over your face using your fingers. Even out the paint to all the areas of your face. Apply extra amount to the areas most likely to produce sweat such as nose, temple, hair line and under your chin.

After your face is covered in paint, take some baby powder. Using your fingertips, gently dab the powder to add a protective later over your paint.
