Looking for something simply delicious to serve to your family, friends, party guests, yourself...whoever it may be! A roasted vegetable farinata is completely vegetarian and you might as well try it any time. This article will show you how to make one.
Ingredients
- 100 g gram flour
- 250 milliliters water
- 4 tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1 yellow/orange pepper
- 6 tomatoes, sundried
- A few black olives
Steps
-
Bring together the flour, sea salt, water and olive oil (only 2 tbsp of the olive oil) in a huge bowl that's used for mixing. Use a whisk to mix this mixture together, until well combined. Set aside for at least 30 minutes.
-
Prepare the peppers. Start by chopping them into little pieces, and be sure those little pieces are thin. Place the rest of the oil into a huge skillet that is round, or anything else that can bake in an oven. Incorporate the thin pieces of pepper into the mixture and heat for half of 30 minutes.Advertisement
-
Transfer the peppers to a 180 °C (356 °F) preheated oven to set for another half of 30 minutes. Once they have cooked, remove them from the pan using a spoon or spatula, just remember to leave some of the oil and a few pieces of pepper in the corners.
-
Repeat the whisking process for the batter, then pour it into the pan. Place the peppers back into the pan, along with the black olives and tomatoes.
-
Place the farinata into your oven and allow to cook for 1/2 of an hour. Once it has baked, transfer it from the pan to a board and let cool before serving.Advertisement
