The Betrothal

   You are your fiancé must become ceremonially betrothed to one another. This is done in the Orthodox Church, just as your wedding will be. The priest will bless the rings and will place them on both yours and your fiancé's hands.

   The priest will ask either of you, if you are in actual fact, involved with anyone else(of course you are not, or you would not be planning to get married now, would you. Nonetheless, the priest asks anyway).

The Wedding Ceremony

   Both the bride and groom wear crowns on their special day.

   The priest will give both the bride and groom lighted candles during the ceremony.

   The priest will join the right hands of both the bride and groom.

   The Best Man must be Orthodox.

   The bride does not remove her veil until after the wedding reception.
