The Spiral Abyss is a special domain in Genshin Impact. Located in Musk Reef off of Cape Oath, it is the place where you challenge different enemies of different levels to get the highest score possible. To get to the Spiral Abyss, activate the wind gust to get to the portal above Cape Oath by following the Seelies (blue/turquoise orbs). Defeat the Electro slimes near the Electro crystals, and after following the Seelies, glide up to the portal. If you try to fly over to Musk Reef, you will run out of stamina and drown.

  1. Cape Oath is the southeasternmost point in Mondstadt. To do so, teleport there, or teleport to Eagle's Gate and head east.
  2. A few will spawn near some Electro crystals located near the Seelie gardens. After defeating the Electro slimes, it will be easier to place the Seelies in their location.

  3. This should not be super hard; they are turquoise orbs floating around Teyvat. There should be three Seelies that need to be found to activate the wind gust.
    • One of the Seelies can be found on a nearby cliff.
    • Another one can be found underneath a tree.
    • The final Seelie is located near the very edge of Cape Oath.
  4. Move towards the portal. Once you touch it, you will reach Musk Reef and the Spiral Abyss.

  1. To do so, select "Spiral Abyss" when near the domain entrance.
    • The first time you enter, the portal will turn from red to blue, indicating the teleportation waypoint associated with the domain is unlocked.
    • The domain unlocks at adventure level 20.
  2. You will, by default, start at the last floor that you left off at. To start at a different floor, click on it. You must have unlocked that floor and chamber to do so.
    • Before you do so, it may be helpful to look at the different enemies you will encounter on the floor as well as any elemental buffs you may receive for the current floor.
  3. After doing so, press Start to enter the Abyss.
    • You will not be able to eat food or change party members until you clear the floor, and the nature of the Abyss is such that you will always start with full health at the beginning of every floor.

Playing Each Chamber

  1. Each floor consists of three chambers, with each chamber containing enemies of varying difficulty. The goal of the Spiral Abyss is to beat all the enemies in a set time period or while protecting a monolith in the chamber.
  2. Three different buffs will be presented to you at the beginning. Some buffs will affect you for the entire floor, while others will affect you for the current chamber only.
  3. Then select Start . This will begin the challenge for the current chamber.
  4. The enemies will spawn one by one. Depending on the floor, this can also be done by knocking them out of the arena.
    • Don't fall out of bounds or let all your characters die; this will result in you failing the current chamber. You will also fail if you don't defeat all the enemies on time or if you failed to protect the monolith, depending on the chamber.
  5. After all the enemies are defeated, you will see a results screen. You will receive either one, two, or three stars depending on your overall performance.
    • You can also select Leave for now to come back to the Spiral Abyss later.
    • After reaching the end of the third chamber, you will go up a floor and will get an opportunity to switch your party.

      Tips

      • A good party has two primary attackers, a secondary attacker, and a support character (i.e. character that can regenerate HP), as you are unable to eat food in the Spiral Abyss.
      • HP in the Spiral Abyss is separate from HP in the overworld, and they do not influence each other. Same with elemental burst progress.
      • There are two parts for the Spiral Abyss. Progress and rewards in the Abyssal Corridor is permanent and does not reset, while progress and rewards in the Moon Spire reset every 15 days.
