I'm tall and I need to find a decent pair of mid heel shoes for a party, so that I'm not the freakishly tall person, taller than all of the guys. What could I get?

2-3 inch heels are a good bet. If you're worried about being taller than all the guys think about the average height of the men there and your height plus the heel height. Obviously this isn't a "rule" but if you're more insecure about your height (like me) it can be helpful.
