You may think there's a "perfect pageant personality" but pageant winners have a wide variety of hobbies and interests and a good deal of them are shy, but they don't let their shyness get in the way. Try to calm yourself down by doing things that relax you on the day of the competition, like listening to music or soaking in a hot tubn. Deep breathing exercises help a lot, also.
